| The
Master Club programme presented by the Africa Taekwondo
Association takes Black Belt students to the next level of
mastership in Master West's Combat Taekwondo system through a
structured programme which focuses on the mental and physical development
of Black Belt students.
This programme,
which is exclusively designed for Black Belts, includes advanced
weapons training, self defense and an integration of techniques
and practices from other martial arts styles obtained from
attending seminars presented by leading international martial
artists and pioneer their fields from within the South African
martial arts scene.
As a natural
progression from Black
Belt Club
- to which coloured belts within the organisation can belong - the
Master Club re-focuses Combat Taekwondo Black Belt students
towards obtaining the standards expected of Martial Arts Masters
around the world.
Master West holds
regular Black Belt training sessions at the Africa Taekwondo
Association's headquarters where the forms (poomsae), sparring
combinations and combat weapons forms are perfected and practiced.
All ATA Black Belts are expected to know the coloured belt
syllabus as this forms part of the Master Club criteria
for progression through the Black Belt degrees. |
